The Occupational Therapist works with patients and clients who have impairments, functional limittaion, disabilities or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease or other causes. The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients under the supervision of a physiican utlilizing the parameters established by the American Occupational Therapy Association. The goal of the Occupational Therapist is to alleviate discomfort and restore function, as well as to provide education on prevention and wellness issues.

Education:Graduate of a program in Occupational Therapy at a masters or bachelors level degree.

Experience: Clinical experience with geriatric and orthopedic outpatient setting.

Licenses/Certifications: Current certification with the National Board for certification in Occupational Therapy, and be currently credentialed as a Certified Hand Therapist. Maintenance of current CPR and BLS.

Compensation: $34.13/hr - $43.24/hr, depending on experience.

Benefits Eligibility

Medical, dental, vision, health care FSA, and dependent care FSA: All active employees working 40 or more hours per pay period are eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days of active service. PRN staff are not initially eligible for benefits, and GVH follows all Affordable Health Care Act Eligibility guidelines.
