Job Description

SUMMARY

Works directly with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) customers who utilize Westlake Royal Building Products (WRBP) materials to fabricate, accessorize and distribute through specialized channels. Call on national and regional Garage Door Manufacturers and Specialty Garage Product Distributors. Products sold include Garage Door Weather Seal (Garage Door Stop), Garage Door Lites to trim windows in doors. Responsible for $30MM in gross sales.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Support WRBP customers by visiting locations, meetings, email communication, phone, virtual meetings, and trade-shows

  • Build and execute customer specific sales growth programs

  • Prepare proposals and contracts

  • Manage customer purchasing, engineering and product management relations

  • Research new growth outlets and products, and track competitive materials in the market

  • Manage supply and resolve issues with clear, timely communications to customers

  • Maintain and grow knowledge bank of WRBP and segment needs

  • Develop, present and negotiate sales plans during product line reviews

  • Collect & analyze monthly OEM sales

  • Help develop and manage marketing materials and trade-show displays and represent WRBP at trade shows

  • Conduct product knowledge training seminars with OEM customers or during customer events

  • Develop and launch new products in conjunction with product development

  • Work with Royal OEM customer service to resolve customer issues quickly and efficiently

  • Train Royal customer service team members on new programs launched to OEMs

  • Analyze territory distribution needs and establish targets for additional distribution and OEMs

  • Have full understanding of installation of all products in order to assist distributors in training as well as customer service needs

  • Participate in channel strategy for segment

  • Operate within expense budget parameters

  • Maintain contact with OEMs and distributors, and analyze sales statistics to determine sales potential and inventory requirements and to monitor customers' preferences

  • Travel approximately 30 percent of the time, including weekends when needed

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree or one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Excellent negotiating skills

  • Strong relationship building skills

  • Working knowledge of MS office suite including teams and outlook 365

  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, detail oriented

  • An enthusiastic, self-starter with good interpersonal skills

  • Requires the consultative mind-set, solution oriented method of selling

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job will require 30% travel on average. Ability to be away from home for multiple nights per week and riding in automobiles for several hours per day is required. Insurability and valid US state drivers license is mandatory.
