    Summary:
    As the online school for the district, Boulder Universal hosts a diverse enrollment of students including professional performers, athletes, and musicians as well as students choosing an online environment to support their learning and health needs. Our cohesive team is the catalyst for the high completion and graduation rate of Boulder Universal students. Boulder Universal is not an alternative school but does support the unique needs of students. Students meet State and District requirements to graduate with a BVSD diploma.

    We are seeking teachers for the upcoming school year. There will be elementary, middle school core content, middle school electives, high school core content, Spanish, Counselor and SPED resource positions available. You will teach and facilitate online content courses, provide timely feedback to students and parents, and participate in the BU community.

    Responsibilities:
    -Positively impact student achievement using online instructional strategies
    -Knowledge of the curriculum and content area
    -Effectively manage the virtual and physical learning environment
    -Differentiate instruction to meet student's learning needs
    -Provide 1:1 support for students in the Boulder Universal lab approximately twice a week
    -Adjust and enhance courses as needed
    -Participate in professional development and staff meetings
    -Communicate student progress to families on a frequent basis
    -Collaborate with mentors, counselors, teachers, admin, and online community
    -Follow State legal requirements and District and building policies and procedures

    Qualifications:
    Required:

    -Current Colorado teaching license
    -Completed and submitted BVSD online application
    -Experience teaching online or blended learning skills
    -MUST BE A CURRENT BVSD EMPLOYEE IN UNIT B TO APPLY

    Preferred:
    -Demonstrated ability to be a highly effective member of a team.
    -Highly qualified in multiple content areas.
    -High level of flexibility while maintaining classroom rigor and expectations.
    -Willingness to be an inegral part of becoming and enhancing the BU culture and community.
    -Excellent oral and written communication skills (including video conferencing).
    -Knowledge of and deep belief in inclusion in the general education classroom for all students, demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs, ELD, TAG, identified at-risk, and others.
    -Demonstrated ability to use data to inform instruction and personalize learning.
    -Highly adept using technology to enhance learning; proficient with multiple technologies, devices, apps/software, platforms (Mac or PC) and basic troubleshooting.
    -Use of Schoology and/or SeeSaw or similar Learning Management Systems.

    Salary Information:
    -Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
