Position Summary	The Maternal Child Health Program with the Department of Family andCommunity Medicine seeks a full-time faculty member, Nurse Midwife,Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner, to work with our Maternal and ChildHealth Services on the Mother Baby Unit. Responsibilities and duties includeproviding post-partum care to mothers and babies, evaluations of infants lessthan two weeks of age in a newborn clinic, caring for infants with neonatalabstinence syndrome and providing lactation support. This clinician will alsoorganize and provide orientation for new interns and students on the serviceand will lead educational activities. This clinician will also retrieve andcollect data on Maternal Child Health (MCH) activities as a part of ourcontinuity quality improvement and patient safety efforts. Qualifications	Minimum Qualifications: Certification/Licensure for New Mexico as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician's Assistant OR Certified Nurse Midwife Masters Degree Must be eligible to work in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications - ClinicalExperience In: Post-partum rounds and care of mothers and babies Evaluating infants less than two weeks of age in a Newborn clinic Caring for infants with neonatal abstinence syndrome Providing lactation support Experience in conducting orientations, presentations and teaching new interns and medical students Experience collecting data for MCH activities A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
