Position Summary |
The Maternal Child Health Program with the Department of Family andCommunity Medicine seeks a full-time faculty member, Nurse Midwife,Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner, to work with our Maternal and ChildHealth Services on the Mother Baby Unit. Responsibilities and duties includeproviding post-partum care to mothers and babies, evaluations of infants lessthan two weeks of age in a newborn clinic, caring for infants with neonatalabstinence syndrome and providing lactation support. This clinician will alsoorganize and provide orientation for new interns and students on the serviceand will lead educational activities. This clinician will also retrieve andcollect data on Maternal Child Health (MCH) activities as a part of ourcontinuity quality improvement and patient safety efforts.
