Position Summary The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center seeks afaculty member to join the
Division of Cardiology. This position is Open rank and Open track. The successful candidate willhold patient care to its highest standard and, as a member of New Mexicos onlyacademic medical center, will actively participate in research and felloweducation. Salary and rank will be commensuratewith experience and education.

The north central New Mexico/Albuquerque area is a uniqueand stunning place in which to live with a diversity of climate, geography, andculture that defies easy description. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Board certified/board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease by date of hire;
  • Board certification/board eligible in Echocardiography; and
  • Eligible to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership skills in coordinating in-patient and out-patient care;
  • Experience/interest with broad spectrum of cardiovascular disease;
  • Training and/or experience in diagnosis and management of advanced heart failure, transplant and other advanced heart failure therapies;
  • Teaching experience at all levels of training;
  • Experience/interest in scholarly pursuits and mentorship of trainees within the field of cardiology and in particular heart failure.
