Position Summary

Title: Open Rank, Open Track - Neuro-hospitalist

The University of New Mexico, School of Medicine, Department of Neurology seeks a qualified Neuro-hospitalist.

The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary group of Neurology faculty in providing quality patient care in the inpatient neuro-hospitalist, stroke service and teleneurology service at UNM Hospital. Additionally, the position will assume on-call responsibilities for adult clinical services with fellow providers and participate in tele-neurology services.

Academic responsibilities include participation in teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows and research activities of the department.

UNM Hospital is the tertiary care center for the State and the only Comprehensive Stroke Center, NAEC level 4 epilepsy center, and ALS / MDA center in the State. The Department of Neurology has 42 full-time and part-time attending physicians and is home to well-established Residency and multiple Fellowship programs.

Salary:

Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

MD degree or equivalent

Board eligible or certified in Neurology

Board eligible or certified in vascular neurology or neurocritical care or established neuro-hospitalist fellowship training, completed by start date

Must be eligible to work in the United States

Preferred Requirements:

2-3 years of clinical experience in neurological care
