MaidPro Richmond has an urgent need for a full-time, salaried Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our mighty little local residential and small office cleaning company. We have some of the best online reviews in all of RVA and we want someone who can help us maintain that by delighting customers and compassionately leading our wonderful team of PROs. You'll do it all: daily operations, sales, people management, scheduling, inventory management, etc. You'll work in partnership with our remote Customer Service Manager and our two local owners to help grow the business and maintain our exceptional reputation.

Experience

  • Office management, restaurant management, or other heavily customer-facing operational role required
  • Multiple years of customer service experience in restaurants, retail, residential services, or other area
  • Brownie points for professional cleaning experience or management experience in a professional cleaning environment
  • Sales and marketing experience or desire to learn

Job Responsibilities

Personnel:

  • Direct responsibility to grow and lead all of our office staff and in-home professionals (PROs)
  • In tandem with CSM, maintain a healthy employee pipeline, including posting jobs, inviting prospects, and interviews
  • Oversee training program and manage employee performance
  • Responsible for all people management responsibilities, from Day 1 onboarding through termination
  • Lead monthly staff meetings
  • Communicate throughout the day via email, phone, and text with employees and customers
  • Provide field support to staff during the day as needed
  • Maintaining employee files (W-4s. I-9s, background checking, etc)
  • Setup and process payroll
  • Maintain incentive and bonus programs

Operations:

  • Arrive early, between 7:30 and 7:45am, to prepare to dispatch our staff for the day
  • Manage job closures, payments, and documents
  • Maintain security with keys
  • Ensure consistent quality management program results in great Customer Satisfaction
  • Manage daily laundry and equipment maintenance
  • Make sure office is clean, orderly, and presentable at all times
  • Maintain adequate supply inventory at all times

Sales and Customer Service:

  • Support Customer Service Manager in all customer service matters, including new customer onboarding, service followups, and crisis management.
  • Earn extra income and grow the business by proactively closing new sales

Must have reliable transportation to and from client homes, although the work will primarily be in the office. We provide gas reimbursement when you travel to our clients' homes. If push comes to shove, everyone in our office is capable of rolling up their sleeves and cleaning for our customers.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills, both in-person and on the phone
  • You should feel perfectly comfortable navigating your way around a PC and have the ability to quickly learn new software
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to relate to a variety of people in a responsible & cooperative manner
  • Be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Must be able to work under pressure and handle frequent interruptions
  • Capable of neat, thorough, accurate work with superior organizational skills
  • Stellar attendance record at all previous jobs; this is an absolute must!
