OR Tech I - General Surgery - FT/Days

JOB SUMMARY: This position is accountable for the direct and indirect care of patient's/families as assigned under the direction and supervision of the physician and/or Registered Nurse. The technician's practice is performed within the scope of training and in accordance with Valley Children's policies.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a High School Diploma/GED. Successful completion of Operating Room Technician training program OR 3 years as an OR Tech in lieu of formal program required. BLS-Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position. Minimum six (6) months related experience and medical terminology preferred.

POSITION DETAILS: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period. Day shifts - with the need to cover weekends, holidays and on-call shifts.
