How this role supports our mission:

The Organizational Logistics and Efficiencies Manager is responsible for implementation and establishment of best practices, business techniques, and methodologies as they relate to efficiency and profitability as it pertains to Kaizen, safety, and loss prevention processes and procedures. The primary goal is to improve all operational aspects of donated goods processes to provide safer work environments and enhance profitability.

What we require from you:

Special requirements:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of work experience and education

Five or more years in a logistics environment with supervisory or leadership experience

Experience with safety and loss prevention teams, preferably in a leadership role.

Develop and enhance existing business processes, audits and reporting in donated goods retail (DGR) using Kaizen and lean processing methodologies.

Schedule, assign and/or perform Kaizen, safety and loss prevention audits for all GISA locations.

Direct Kaizen management processes, meetings, events and paperwork.

Attend all relevant meetings for DGR including safety, loss prevention, and Kaizen

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure performance and success as it pertains to Kaizen, safety, and loss prevention.

Provide direct support for Loss Prevention incidents and investigations, including interviewing and administration.

Effectively and accurately utilize relevant technology for reporting requirements.

Provide input and recommendations for flow, layout, equipment and new processes on all new or existing projects, renovations, remodels, etc.

Manage and ensure proper handling of all hazardous waste and other donations which are not suitable for resale, i.e., flags, pressurized containers, prescription medications, firearms, etc.

Provide assistance and execute relevant audits as assigned by the Chief Compliance Officer.

Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision.

Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and environments.

Ability to read, write, and speak English; follow written and verbal instruction.

Possess current AZ drivers license, and personal transportation with proof of auto insurance.
