SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Educate children with autism and learning or mental disabilities
* Provide behavioral redirection, academic and emotional support.
HOURS & COMPENSATION
* School hours: Monday-Friday
*Pay: Starting at $14/hr. depending on contractor's qualifications, availability, and skill.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION FOR PARAPROFESSIONAL
* A passion for serving special needs and typically-developing children
* Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent
* Minimum of six (6) months' of classroom experience or similar professional setting
* Minimum of six (6) months' experience working with children with autism or developmental and intellectual disabilities
* Ability to maintain and exhibit patience and understanding at all times
* Fingerprint clearance card
* CPR /First Aid
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, parents and staff members.
