***Please note that this is a part-time, 20 hour per week role The new hire hourly rate is $14.77/hour***

POSITION SUMMARY:

Greeters are expected to facilitate a warm, welcoming, and safe environment for people accessing Adult Recovery Services, for services or people from the community, and other organizations. Greeters are always expected to maintain a professional attitude to ensure great experiences for the people we serve, and those coming in from the community.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Gain knowledge by learning skills and growing ability to better assist people we serve to move toward recovery & wellbeing
  • Greeters are positioned at either the front or rear entrance of the Recovery Center.
  • Greet everyone as they enter, assisting with services as needed.
  • Assist, and escort people to appointments and conference rooms as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the first-floor office manager and front desk staff to facilitate safety and effectiveness.
  • Give scheduled tours of the Recovery Center.
  • Administer surveys to people we serve.
  • Work collaboratively with transportation companies to secure transportation for people we serve.
  • Attend program team meetings and supervision as scheduled.
  • Attend trainings as scheduled.
  • Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • None required

EXPERIENCE:

  • Lived experience: Currently working toward ones own recovery with mental health issues and participating in Mental Health Center of Denver programs.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge or ability to learn and practice trauma informed principles and practices
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to operate a computer
  • Good time management skills
  • Provides accurate & timely information
  • Consistent and reliable attendance
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service that conveys friendliness, patience
  • Ability to create a calm atmosphere

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Computers, calculators, fax machines, copiers, telephone and a variety of other office/clerical equipment.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. May require lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, the telephone and other office and/or clinical equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS: May require occasional evening or weekend hours. Meets the requirements of applicable federal, state and organizational background checks
