Shift: 40hrs ; 8:30am-5:00 ; no weekends ; benefit eligible

Position Summary: Prepare surgical and cytological material for gross and microscopic examination by Pathologist in an accurate, efficient and expeditious manner within the limits of laboratory policy and procedure according to JCAHO, CAP and OSHA regulations. Prepare and maintain equipment according to established procedures. Provide technical assistance and training to pathology personnel as required.

  • Required Knowledge & Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be highly organized and work efficiently. Must have good communication skills.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Associates Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.
  • Software/Hardware: Experience with Meditech or Copath software is preferred.
