CVS Specialty Pharmacy in Monroeville, PA, is seeking to expand our Patient Assistance Team to better serve our growing patient population. We offer permanent work from home if you live within 75 miles of the Monroeville, PA office location. As a Patient Assistance Representative you will assist patients in finding and securing financial assistance to start or continue drug therapies as recommended by the patients physician when finances and payment are of concern to the patient and may impact the ability to receive the necessary medications. In this role, PACs will be expected to demonstrate excellent customer service to patients, healthcare professionals and insurance carriers in order to obtain financial assistance needed to process patient prescription orders in a timely manner. This role will require an understanding of insurance carriers and concepts including drug cards, and major medical benefits, as well as knowledge of government and patient assistance programs.
Required Qualifications
* Six months experience working with medical insurance, benefits verification, medical billing, financial assistance or a related field.
* 1+ years of experience in a Windows based computer utilizing Microsoft Office.
* Candidates must have temporary secure work from space in the State of Pennsylvania and be within 75 miles from the Monroeville office.
Preferred Qualifications
* Pharmacy, PBM or Specialty pharmacy experience
* Knowledge of government and patient assistance programs
* Excellent customer service skills
* Attention to detail
* Analytical and problem solving skills
* Experience working with medical billing procedure
* Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid
Education
* Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required
