Tower 4 is a 36-bed, private room med/surg department that provides care for patients primarily recovering from general, orthopedic, trauma, and specialty surgeries. The nurses and team members who work in this area are frequently involved with OT and PT staff, and have the rewarding experience of seeing the majority of their patients leave the floor well on the road to recovery.
The Patient Care Assistant assists patient care unit staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care, which support nursing practice under the direct supervision of a registered nurse; carries out designated activities that are within those functions limited by law to unlicensed nursing personnel; monitors cardiac rhythms to include running monitor strips as required by unit standards and as needed according to patient condition, documenting rhythm information at specified frequencies, posting rhythm strips with appropriate patient identifiers as specified through workflows and scanning rhythm strips into the health record to ensure accurate and timely information to ensure safe patient care.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma / GED
Three (3) or more years of experience as a PCA / CNA / LNA or in a related field
Licensed Nursing Assistant in the state of Arizona, in good standing
Work Schedule: 12-hours, Nights, Varied
