The advanced practice nurse/mid-level provider, referred to as the Patient Navigator, provides a variety of services when delivering patient care. Duties and functions of the Patient Navigator include but are not limited to:
Admission and discharge of patients
Diagnose, treat and manage patient care.
Provide expert clinical support and expertise.
Educate patients regarding their surgical experience, including how to prepare for the procedure and what to expect afterwards.
Coordinate patient care schedule
Prescribe required postoperative medications
This role will be primarily based at our Eagan Surgery Center and will provide support to the Summit Ambulatory Surgery Center locations.
