Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for performing advanced professional accounting work in the maintenance and review of payroll records for the Seminole Tribe of Florida's Payroll Office. The individual assists the Payroll Manager in the supervision of the daily operations and in all aspects of payroll matters. The individual processes and distributes payroll checks for all STOF payroll cycles and provides support for payroll accounting, related regulatory reporting and filing requirements. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is required. A minimum of four (4) years of previous experience working with centralized automated payroll processing systems or similarly related financial accounting field to include some leadership or supervisory-level payroll processing experience is required; or any equivalent combination of relevant education, training and experience will be considered. American Payroll Association (APA) certification is preferred.Prior experience in Kronos and Lawson System is highly preferred. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent computer skills utilizing Microsoft software programs and add-ons. Demonstrate excellent English written and oral communication skills. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
