    Job Summary:

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    K-12 Responsibilities:

    -Collaborates with principals to develop, implement and monitor the K-12 Unified Improvement Plan, Strategic plan and KPI goals, including writing required reports

    -Collaborates with administrators at both the elementary and high school levels in support of coherent and cohesive curriculum development and instruction across the K-12 landscape

    -Works to ensure effective curricular articulation from elementary to middle school, and from middle school to high school, alongside the 6-8 Curriculum Continuum Coordinators

    -Assists with K-12 crisis management and ensures that safety protocols are followed

    -Serves as a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), Total Instructional Leadership Team (TILT), Emergency Response Team (ERT), Executive Leadership Team (ELT), Service Council and other committees as assigned

    -Conducts Safe Schools and Safe 2 Tell checks and communications as required

    -Assists principals and the Director of Professional Development with staff professional development to facilitate collaboration and cohesion across school levels

    -Ensures staff alignment with all P2P policies and applicable BVSD and state requirements, and reports to the board, district and state as appropriate


    6-12 Responsibilities:

    Instructional Leadership

    -Facilitates level staff meetings as directed by the Middle School Principal

    -Serves as a member of Middle School Leadership Team and other committees as assigned by the Middle School Principal

    -Conducts informal and formal staff evaluations and provides feedback as assigned by the Middle School Principal

    -Models and supports effective classroom management strategies for all instructional staff

    -Commits to visibility in classrooms and hallways, and shares administrative supervision responsibilities with the Middle School Principal for before and after school events throughout the year

    -Aids in the development, implementation and monitoring of the Unified Improvement Plan, Strategic Plan and KPI goals including writing required reports

    -Assists with open enrollment and attends school open enrollment events

    School Climate & Culture

    -Assists with data collection and analysis for the 6-12 internal climate survey, required district surveys, and student climate interviews as directed by the Middle School Principal in order to improve the climate and culture of the middle school

    -Oversees the iROAR and restorative justice programs; coordinates iROAR breakfasts and assemblies, and coordinates and facilitates restorative meetings

    -In cooperation with the grade-level leaders and student council, assists with the facilitation of all school-wide assemblies and initiatives throughout the school day

    -Works with the principals, Activities and Athletic Director, counselors, and community to encourage participation from all stakeholders in 6-8 programs, clubs and activities

    -Participates in MTSS, SST and GLT meetings, and serves as the administrator in 504 and IEP meetings as assigned by the Middle School Principal

    -Collaborates with Student Council to support middle school initiatives

    -Interacts with directors and level principals to ensure consistency and harmony between school levels, and school community members to build supportive relationships

    -Fosters communication and collaboration among faculty, staff, parents and students

    Program Oversight

    -Guides students, parents/guardians and staff in the facilitation of middle school behavioral ideologies, restorative justice practices, Peak to Peak behavior and conduct standards, and the 6-12 dress code guidelines

    -Co-leads the 6-12 Advisory/GLT program in partnership with the High School Assistant Principal

    -In cooperation with the counselors and grade-level leaders, helps develop and implement the character education, positive behavior, and bullying prevention programs in the 6-8 setting

    -Administers timely 6-8 student restorative justice practices, disciplinary action and parent/guardian notification as necessary, and works with the elementary and high school principals with any student discipline as needed

    -Monitors 6-8 student attendance and oversees timely parent/guardian notification and meetings as needed

    -Collects, tracks and maintains confidential records regarding student behavior, including personal discipline files

    -Oversees and monitors locker assignments, use and contracts

    -Ensures that Peak to Peak meets all BVSD, state and federal guidelines and regulations for school-wide discipline

    -Implements, tracks, and oversees the supervision duties of middle school teachers and works with the principal to ensure duties are being performed

    Administrative and Professional Responsibilities

    -Writes monthly community letters, contributes to weekly bulletins, and composes other required reports as assigned by the Middle School Principal

    -Provides supervision before school, after school, and during middle school lunches on a daily basis

    -Educates parents/guardians regarding school expectations, and maintains and updates the middle school student handbook on a yearly basis and in collaboration with the middle school leadership team

    -Builds rapport with students by helping them to develop socio-emotional fluency and appropriate self-advocacy

    -Supports the professional development program and provides proactive supports and lessons, including participating in professional development

    -Actively supports the schools mission and vision, character and equity efforts

    -Promotes a collegial and collaborative environment by sharing resources and contributing to the school community

    -Seeks feedback on leadership and administrative strategies

    -Seeks balance in workload and establishes appropriate boundaries

    -Other duties as assigned


    Salary:
    $70.000 - $100,000 a year
