Perioperative Coordinator Registered Nurse - Neurosurgery - Full Time/Days

SUMMARY: This position is accountable for serving as a consultant in the care of peri-operative patients. The incumbent provides patient, family, and staff education; leadership in identifying and reviewing nursing clinical practice and procedures, equipment and processes that will enhance clinical operations and patient care outcomes. Serves as a patient and family advocate.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an accredited nursing program required, Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred, Active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN), Minimum 3 years full time or equivalent recent pediatric clinical experience, Bilingual skills desirable. Certified Nurse of the Operating Room (CNOR) preferred.

Life Support Certifications Required: 1) BLS HeartCode required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position and 2) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 12 months of hire or transfer into position.

POSITION DETAILS: Full Time, 80 hours per pay period, most shifts M-F with the need to cover some nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts on rotation.
