Position Summary:

The Deposit Account Specialist provides comprehensive service to our banking clientele. They are a member of the Deposit Services team which serves as a deposit gathering group that focuses on opening CDs, IRAs, and Money Market accounts for the banks Dallas Market through various deposit gathering channels. In many cases the Deposit Account Specialist is the first experience with TBK Bank, therefore, delivering quality service with a consistent and enthusiastic approach is vital.

Position Description:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Delivers excellent service to clients conducting business in person, through the mail, and by telephone
  • Ensure that clients financial needs are met and/or exceeded
  • Open new Money Market, IRA and Certificate of Deposit accounts in accordance with the banks policy and procedure and ensuring accuracy and completeness of all required documentation.
  • Assist clients with account and file maintenance request, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all required documentation.
  • Assist with processing accounts opened online
  • Assist clients with questions and problem resolution regarding Retail Online Banking
  • Handle incoming calls and emails from internal and external clients regarding Online Banking
  • Notify Deposit Services Manager of escalated client issues.
  • Perform client and bank transactions efficiently & accurately
  • Protect the privacy and confidentiality of clients and the bank
  • Carefully follow bank CIP procedures in order to identify each client
  • Distribute required account disclosures
  • Accurately answer clients questions regarding FDIC insurance
  • Identify and report possible fraud activities and BSA concerns
  • Complete ongoing training required by bank policies and regulations
  • Comply with bank regulations, laws and policies

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required
  • Knowledge of consumer compliance regulations, with an emphasis on CIP and account disclosures.
  • 2 + years of customer service experience in a banking environment
  • 2 - 3 years account opening experience such as customer identification requirements, IRA knowledge, online banking, Customer Identification Program requirements, consumer protection laws, bank security policies and procedures, etc. preferred.
