Physical Therapy Assistant PTA PRN

About the Job:

The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for administering physical therapy modalities of treatment under the plan of care of a licensed Physical Therapist. This is performed to assist each patient to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.

May be a new graduate, but prefer one (1) to two (2) years of staff PTA experience.
Desirable skills include proficiency in written and verbal communication, proficiency with computerized documentation, and the ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the public.

Qualifications:

Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program. Associates or Bachelors Degree Preferred.

Required License: New Mexico Physical Therapy Assistant.

Required Certification: BLS.
