STATUS: FTE / Hourly

 The Salvation Army Planned Giving Department is looking to fill an Administrative Assistant position. The successful candidate for this position will have superior verbal and written communication skills, be computer literate in MS office Suite and related products and the ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks and projects to completion. The Planned Giving Administrative Assistant will answer all incoming calls, take messages or forward to appropriate Planned Giving Director. This position will assist with entering new estate distribution notifications and submit Gift Planning notifications into the TSAMM database. This employee will perform general clerical duties including copying, faxing, mailing and filing. This person will be responsible for performing marketing initiatives, conducting mass mailings, coordinating seminars, and developing and managing a prospect donor and professional advisors database.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Associates degree preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years previous Administrative Assistant experience
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Type minimum 65-75 wpm
  • Computer literate in MS Office Suite and related products and software
  • Must work well within a team
  • Able to prioritize and organize multiple tasks and projects to completion
  • Able to support the Salvation Army’s mission
  • Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check
