Pool Physical Therapy- Physical Rehabilitation
Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Clinical Director of Physical Rehabilitation, the Physical Therapist is responsible for planning, directing and administering physical therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability (i.e. Stroke, spinal cord injury, congenital deformity, amputation, brain injury, neurological disorder, hip fractures, burns, bilateral hip and knee replacements, activity polyarticular rheumatoid arthritis and seronegative arthropathies, major multiple traumas, systemic vasculidities)with joint inflammation, severe or advanced osteoarthritis and other debilities. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A. Current licensure of Physical Therapy with the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
B. Graduate from an accredited school of Physical Therapy preferred.
C. Previous clinical experience in physical therapy preferred.
D. Reference Steward Certification Grid for all required Certifications.
