The UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for a Practice Manager to join our Truman Health Services Team. This opportunity is a full time day shift opening located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

*Minimum $75,670 - Midpoint $96,439*

*Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience.

*Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.

Summary

Working under the general supervision of the Director, Clinical Operations Group, and in collaboration with the Medical Director; plans, organizes, and manages the day-to-day integrated administrative/clinical activities of assigned UNMMG ambulatory clinic. Develops and implements business strategies, policies, protocols and systems that improve practice productivity, efficiency and customer service and that support the enhancement of revenue generation. Serves as a member of the office's management team, participates in decision-making related to clinic operations, and implements and enforces operating policies, procedures, and standards.

Minimum Job Requirements of a Practice Manager:

High school diploma/GED at least 9 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Verification of education and licensure (if applicable) will be required if selected for hire.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Practice Manager:

  1. Manages the coordination, support and development of strategic, budgetary, and operational plans for assigned ambulatory clinic(s).
  2. Prepares and manages the preparation of a variety of recurring and specialized reports that evaluate and analyze departmental activities to ensure ambulatory goals are being met.
  3. In conjunction with the Medical Director recommends short and long-term goals to support expansion of services to meet the needs of the special populations served.
  4. Leads at team structure to include supervising employees, selecting, training, educating, providing formal and informal evaluation of performance, and terminating employees.
  5. Provides regular feedback to team to ensure efficient operations.
  6. Acts as liaison between patient, family, provider, and staff, including oversight of patient safety and patient satisfaction processes and resolution of patient complaints.
  7. Facilitates the provision of patient education.
  8. In conjunction with the Medical Director, and Director of Quality, develops and manages clinic procedures to ensure compliance and quality control in all aspects of clinic operations according to required certification/accreditation standards.
  9. Represents the clinic and its agenda to community constituencies, governmental agencies, and funding agencies for clinic activity and support.
  10. Develops, plans and makes recommendations relative to clinic operations to include organizational structure, space and layout, equipment use, workflow, and staffing.
