Principal
Purpose Statement
The Principal is responsible for providing instructional leadership and promoting the educational
development of students at the school. The Principal is responsible for promoting and maintaining
favorable relationships with parents and appropriate community groups and individuals; fostering
understanding and developing support for the district objectives and programs; implementing district
beliefs, policies, and administrative guidelines; working effectively with all staff members assigned to
that school to assure student educational success.

• General Administration
• Professional Growth
Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications
• Applicable Principal Certification as required and issued by the Arizona State Department of
Education, Certification Department.
• Master's Degree or higher in education or related field from an accredited college or university.
• And/or any other qualifications the Board deems appropriate.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Demonstrates continual learning in the area of instructional leadership.
• Have knowledge of elementary curriculum, latest developments in instructional methods and
media, and demonstrates the ability to plan effectively to implement the curriculum for the benefit
of students.
• Have awareness of special needs of all students and methods and programs to meet those
needs.
Experience: Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience required. Admin experience required.
