Through the years, the hospital grew and evolved into a full-service healthcare facility and the name was changed to Odessa Regional Medical Center to reflect its larger campus and more comprehensive services. About the Shift:

8-4:30 weekends

About the Position:

Responsible for evaluation, planning, directing and administering physical therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. Administers treatments and physical agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. The staff therapist coordinates, delegates and supervises responsibilities assigned to support staff (Physical Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapy Aide). The staff therapist participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in Performance Improvement activities. Ensures that patient changes are accurate and entered on a timely basis. Participates in Performance Improvement activities. Provides service to age range from infant to geriatric. Other duties as assigned.

Regulatory Requirements:

  • Graduate of accredited Physical Therapy, BS or MS degree.
  • Degree in related field with certificate in Physical Therapy will be considered.
  • Licensed or licensure eligible as a Physical Therapist by State of Texas.
  • Licensed by the State of Texas Board of Physical Therapist by State of Texas.
  • Certifications as indicated by the Steward Certification document.
