The Care Management Product team is looking for a strong contributor to support products that drive better patient experience and outcomes while improving efficiency and reducing operating costs through performance improvement on measures of healthcare quality.
The Product Development Consultant is responsible for supporting critical projects through the entire product development lifecycle, concept through implementation, for new and existing care management products. As a Product Development Consultant, the expectation would be to collaborate with multiple key stakeholders within the organization with a focus on successfully supporting key projects and building strong long-term relationships. The Consultant will also work with cross-functional partners to execute product initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
-Support the Product Development cycle (business case, KPIs, design, documentation, pilot, steady state). Ensure projects are delivered in the time allocated and deliver against expectations for the Care Management portfolio.
-Track product development program KPIs, perform trending analysis and make recommendations based on review.
-Work with product development and operations teams to create and implement process enhancements based on KPI measurements reflected in reporting.
-Perform and support various tasks throughout the product development life cycle.
-Maintain a current understanding of the landscape of measures of healthcare quality, as well as the evolution of payment and reimbursement models
Required Qualifications
3-5 years of relevant work experience required, including experience with government (Medicare, Medicaid) health plans and/or measures of healthcare quality (HEDIS, Stars, QRS, etc.).
1) Ability to resolve complex issues and negotiate agreement among different organizational areas and leadership levels
2) Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills through leading groups and effective presentations
3) Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
4) Ability to think critically about behaviors, patterns, and systems
5) Ability to translate strategy and tactics into actions
6) Ability to focus, organize, and work independently
7) Strong analytical skills (i.e. proficiency in Microsoft Excel; VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) to report on and analyze of data
8) Manage external stakeholders through effective partnership and communication
9) Strong computer skills (MS Windows, Office, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
A proven track record in developing or improving products or business lines through a methodical development process, including at least 3 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Product Development, Product Management, Project Management, Business Analysis
Education
-Bachelors degree with a focus in a qualitative or analytical field (mathematics, business, law)
OR
-Clinical degree/certification (pharmacy, nursing, medical technician, coding)
