Position Summary

The University of New Mexicos Project ECHO has an exciting opportunity for you to join our global mission as a Business Analyst! If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, with an organization that is making a change across the world, this is a great opportunity for you! You will work closely with our internal teams and global partners to identify the core of what makes teleECHO programs successful and translate this into functional requirements for the platform.

As a successful Business Analyst, you will collaborate with other product owners, UI/UX designers, product managers, and software developers to design services for our global users. You will play a critical role in:

  • Resolving issues and guiding development work on a daily basis. Working with the UI/UX, development, testing and project management teams to clarify user needs and acceptance criteria
  • Collaborating with UI/UX lead to create preliminary design concepts and engineering to implement the designs and iterate them
  • Leading workshops with key partners and stakeholders to gather, define, analyze and synthesize business and user needs and translate them into software requirements
  • Consulting with subject matter experts and end users to clarify features and their interoperability with current architecture
  • Synthesizing requirements gathered from multiple sources and document them in Jira and Confluence and support documentation with use cases, diagrams and workflows
  • Developing a plan for scoping, development and rollout of the solutions
  • Leading user testing and feedback gathering sessions to ensure that requirements are satisfied
  • Communicating with key stakeholders the rollout plans, change management and training

Project ECHO is a tele-mentoring and distance-learning program with partners all over the world. Work hours outside of normal business hours may be required. We are fortunate to have access to advanced technology, which will require some teleworking.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

Successful completion of at least 60 college-level credit hours; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in product management, driving product design from ideation/conception stage to successfully launching customer-facing, enterprise and/or technical features and/or products

Comfortable working under ambiguity and using quantitative and/or qualitative information in decision making processes

Experience working cross-functionally with business/operations and/or technical (UX, software developers) stakeholders to foster collaboration and drive consensus among stakeholders.

Bachelor degree or above in any quantitative, technical, business, education and/or healthcare education fields.
