Production Assistant

LOCATION: The Salvation Army – Prescott Corps – Prescott, AZ

STATUS: Part-Time

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Production Assistant is responsible for greeting customers, as well as helping them with questions and finding items. Accurately operate a cash register, making sure to let supervisor know of any discrepancies. Will also be responsible for counting in/out of cash register and prepare bank deposits. PA will clean, sort, tag and hang donated goods, researching pricing if needed and distribute them to the appropriate area of warehouse. Greet and assist customers dropping off donations, keeping the donation lot clean and free of debris. Assist driver with donation pick ups as needed. Assist with keeping store clean and organized as to prevent hazards or injury. Must be able to operate a baler, must also help customers carry out items to vehicle if assistance is needed. Assist in supervision of warehouse volunteers. Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor as it related to the position of Production Assistant. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must have the ability to work as a team
• Ability to follow directions
• Ability to meet quotas set by supervisor
• Experience in retail merchandising cash register operations preferred
• Valid Arizona driver’s license with clean MVR

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
