Job Description

As a Production Supervisor for Bosch, you will be joining a leader in the Automotive Service Solutions industry and leading teams through various projects intended to grow and improve our operational capability. Some of your key focuses will be measuring KPI's and performance, conducting process improvement studies and assigning objectives to meet the desired business outcome in our fast-paced Owatonna manufacturing facility.

As a Production Supervisor, you will also be responsible to:

  • Analyze department workload and schedule requirements to develop execution plans, including personnel requirements and resource planning
  • Communicate objectives, status and other issues as necessary (i.e. regular scheduled team meetings, etc...)
  • Support/implement performance management system including identification and achievement of goals
  • Ethically protect company resources and best interests
  • Establish safety procedures to assure a clean safe work environment is promoted and maintained
  • Manage resources in support of safety, quality, delivery, engagement, and cost
  • Develop, maintain, and improve positive employee relations
  • Coach and develop a highly skilled workforce that has a primary focus of machining

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in a Business, Manufacturing or Technical program, or equivalent relevant experience required
  • Combined 7+ years of experience, which should include:
    • Related education / technical training, in Production leadership or related activities
    • Previous industry-related experience (machining, welding, metal fabrication, heavy industry, etc.)
    • Previous experience leading a team
    • Experience with Continuous Improvement tools & methods
    • Experience creating and implementing improvement strategies including business KPRs and associate skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications
  • Must have understanding of project management
  • Ability to give presentations (formal and informal to both direct labor and executives)
  • Must be within a commutable distance to facility
  • Able to work in manufacturing shop environment, and able to be on the shop floor for long periods of time
