Production Supervisor / Manufacturing--Nights

Job Description

This role would lead a team of 80 and is a 7pm -7am shift on a 2-2-3 schedule but start time will realistically be 6:15 pm to do hand-offs with the prior shift. Direct reports are lead packers, packaging associates, operators, process techs.

Job Duties:

  • Manage, direct and coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality
  • Coordinate with Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring & training employees
  • Planning, assigning & directing work
  • Appraising performance
  • Rewarding & disciplining employees
  • Addressing complaints & resolving problems
  • Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis
  • Support & improve upon Quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals
  • Ensures safety programs are implemented effectively, reviewed regularly and revised as necessary
  • Daily time and attendance completion
  • Communicates regularly to manager per escalation plan requirements
Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree preferred (business, engineering)
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Direct supervisory experience highly preferred
  • Strong verbal & interpersonal communication skills
  • Conflict resolution
  • Proven ability to work well in group situations
  • Proven ability to de-escalate situations as needed
  • Ability to deal effectively with conflict in a mature & consistent manner
  • Good computer skills
  • Prefer (not require) people who have thermoforming, SAP and/or continuous improvement experience preferred

Compensation:
$70K - $90K
