Position Summary The Office of thePresident is seeking a motivated, team-oriented, individual to engage inan experience designed to provide on-the-job training and development for arecent college graduate. The Professional Intern will support day to day operatingactivities and provide administrative support. In addition, the ProfessionalIntern will provide support for UNM 2040, Research and Public Service Projects,UNM Gives, and other events and projects. This position involves a high degreeof interaction with staff at all levels of the organization, requiring strongcommunication and customer service skills. Additionally, candidates mustpossess the ability to work independently when necessary, be willing to learnand demonstrate attention to detail. Receives training and mentorship in planning and carrying out activities and assignments. This is a fixed-term position, typically up to 24 months.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree obtained no earlier than 24 months prior to the date of hire; no previous work experience required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and inwriting.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in working with MS Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and organizationalskills.
