Position Summary |
Program Coordinator at the Center for Advanced ResearchComputing The UNM Center for Advanced Research Computing is the hub ofcomputational research at UNM and one of the largest computing centers in theState of New Mexico. It is an interdisciplinary community that usescomputational resources to create new research insights. The goal is to leadand grow the computational research community at UNM. The Program Coordinator plans and coordinates the day-to-dayfiscal, administrative, and operational activities for a five-year, $4 milliongrant project. This includes budget management, oversight of two sub-awards,purchasing, assisting with the hiring of grant personnel, planning annual grantpersonnel meetings and/or scheduling travel for grant personnel meetings atother sites and reporting. The Processing Agent will submit account requests andwill verify US citizenship for all personnel requesting accounts. The successful candidate will also be responsible for Centeradministrative duties including answering phones and helping visitors, issuingkeys and alarm codes, ordering supplies, and other similar duties as assigned. TheProgram Coordinator will work as part of the Centers administrative team butwill be expected to independently manage their workload. The successful candidate will be comfortable using MicrosoftWord, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, and will be expected to use web-basedforms of communication like Slack, Zoom and Teams. The candidate will need touse a number of university fiscal and reporting systems and will be expected tomaintain a university purchasing card. This position is full-time and funded through September2025, with a regular, 8-5 Monday-Friday schedule in the office with meal andrest breaks. Minimum Qualifications |
High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
