Position Summary |
The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The HATCH Program is a program that provides home-visiting services to families who have or had a baby in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The aim of the program is to support families while they are in the NICU and to provide specific targeted supports to families as they transition home with their baby. Additionally, the HATCH program supports and encourages the Parent-Child Relationship as well as identifies and connects families with needed supports in the community depending on family needs. The program is part of the Early Childhood Home and Family Services Division, which consists of a cluster of programs providing direct clinical and home visiting services to high-risk families of infants and young children in the Albuquerque metro area. The Program Coordinator will oversee day-to-day operations as they relate to program activities, data entry/management, quality assurance, data auditing and data reporting. The Program Coordinator will serve as the primary liaison with Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD) in matters related to the state-required Barracuda database functions, coding and reporting. The Program Coordinator will create program reports for required Home Visiting activities to ensure timely completion of services and timely billing/invoicing. The position will also prepare data reports for ECECD quarterly and annual program performance reviews. The Program Coordinator will provide technical guidance to the Director, Program Manager, and Home Visiting staff related to direct service documentation and statewide home visiting regulations. The Program Coordinator will collaborate with the Program Manager to develop and implement procedures as they relate to direct service activity tracking. The position will also audit and analyze client records to assure that the program complies with regulations. Additionally, the Program Coordinator will oversee monthly partnership and team meetings in collaboration with program leadership. Lastly, the position may supervise and/or lead lower-graded administrative staff around record management. The hired individual will demonstrate the following experience and skills: ? Ability to work in a position with a diverse group of clinical and managerial staff and clinical community partners; ? Ability to share projects and work effectively with a team of administrative and clinical staff; ? Familiarity with diverse communities including those of individuals with developmental disabilities, communities in need, and high-risk families; ? Experience working in a related field serving diverse and challenging clients; ? Ability to be flexible while staying professional and positive in a changing environment. Minimum Qualifications |
High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
Preferred Qualifications |

Understanding of the ECECD Home Visiting system. Strong MS Office Suite skills including database applications. Knowledge of HIPAA and PHI regulations. Some college. Spanish speaking.
