This position is located at the University Services Building, 1551 S. Rural Road, Tempe, AZ (on Rural Road south of Apache Blvd).


This position requires that you must possess a valid Arizona driver's license (minimum of Class D) upon employment and maintain throughout employment. Post-offer of employment, selected candidate must possess an acceptable driving record which is 5 or fewer points in the most recent 39-month period from date of hire.


Job Description:

Facilities Development and Management is seeking a Program Coordinator Sr. to support the preventive maintenance (PM) program on ASU’s Tempe campus. This role helps ensure effective scheduling, workflow management, and equipment audits to maintain operational excellence.


Essential Duties

  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) schedules using internal CMMS software.
  • Audit equipment and gather data in areas such as rooftops, equipment rooms, ceiling spaces, tunnels, vaults, etc.
  • Maintain accurate records of PM activities.
  • Collaborate with project managers on maintenance-related initiatives and facility improvement projects.
  • Organize and update document tracking systems, databases, and spreadsheets.
  • Compose professional correspondence, manuals, presentations, and reports.
  • Provide support for departmental training and create instructional materials.
  • Track, compile, and distribute performance and compliance reports.
  • Manage departmental computer assets and ensure effective record-keeping systems.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings using tools like Outlook.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the department’s goals.
  • Clearly communicate to perform essential functions of the job. 


DAYS & SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 6:30AM – 3:00PM


Salary rate

$52,000 to $56,000 per year, commensurate of experience and education. ASU offers a comprehensive benefits package with the State of Arizona.


Desired Qualifications

Experience in:

  • Managing preventive maintenance programs and work order systems (e.g., TMA, SchoolDude).
  • Performing building and equipment audits, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems.
  • Scheduling and managing electronic calendars.
  • Creating and updating record-keeping systems, databases, and spreadsheets.
  • Using software such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Workday and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms).
  • Composing professional documents, presentations, and reports with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Demonstrating organizational skills and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Building strong working relationships and collaborating effectively.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and/or electronic drawings.
  • Labeling and tagging systems and equipment for inventory and maintenance tracking.
  • Evidence of effective communication skills.


Working Environment

  • Office environment with occasional work in field settings, including confined spaces, varying temperatures, and adverse conditions.
  • May be exposed to hazardous and dangerous materials, tools, and equipment which will require safety precautions and/or specific process to be followed and may include the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) (e.g. safety glasses, hearing protection, negative pressure and positive pressure respirator). Use of PPE may require medical clearance prior to use.  Physical requirements include climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds, and walking moderate distances.
  • Regular use of standard office equipment and computer systems.
  • May drive University carts and vehicles.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
