Position Summary

The University of New Mexicos Project ECHO has an amazing opportunity for a Program Manager focusing on Early Childhood programs to join our ECHO Education team! ECHO Education has experienced significant growth in the past year as part of efforts to develop and support new ECHO Programming in K-12 Education, Early Childhood Health and Education, and Higher Education.

As a successful Program Manager, you will play an active and integral role in advancing these efforts through collaboration with ECHO Educations Sr. Program Managers and other ECHO Education team members to:

  • Plan and coordinate the design and development of program(s) or project(s) under indirect supervision of Senior Program Managers
  • Use your expertise in various areas of Early Childhood education to support the development and implementation of effective professional learning programs for Early Childhood education, care and intervention professionals in New Mexico
  • Oversee implementation of programs and track progress toward deliverables
  • Provide technical and/or professional coordination and leadership in the execution of day-to-day program/project activities, as appropriate to program objectives and area of expertise
  • Coordinate with Data and Evaluation Teams to ensure data collection and management processes as required by the ECHO Institute
  • Maintain regular and excellent levels of communication about program development, management and implementation regularly with multiple key stakeholders, Hub member, spokes, and other ECHO teams
  • Develop standard operating procedures, project timelines, communications, and marketing for programs
  • Serve as the principal point of representation and liaison with external constituencies on the local and state level on operational matters for programs managed with a focus on Early Childhood in New Mexico
  • Supervise the work allocation, training, promotion, enforcement of internal procedures and controls, and problem resolution for program coordinators

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience 2 of which are management level experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree; at least 5 years of experience directly related to Early Childhood Education and/or intervention.

Our ideal candidate will have experience with facilitation, the provision of technical assistance, and the implementation of professional learning programs within the Early Childhood sector.
