Position Summary

We are seeking a Program Manager to oversee the operational, financial and administrative areas of our multifaceted programs. The manager must have a sensitive and professional manner when dealing with the agencies and families involved in the investigation of child maltreatment allegations; and must be familiar with mandatory reporting laws regarding child maltreatment. The candidate must be able to write and manage contracts and grants with outside agencies and must understand grant reporting requirements. This individual should have experience in program and fiscal management and have an excellent grasp of computer knowledge in Excel, Outlook, and Word. Knowledge and proficiency in Banner, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom are strongly preferred. He/she must have experience working in a direct supervisory role and must possess excellent supervisory skills. The candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Applicants must possess the ability to empathize with diverse ethnic and cultural populations, and be comfortable with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating with supervising physicians and maintaining a team environment. The candidate must be organized, detail oriented, work well both independently and as a team, be flexible, and coordinate multiple tasks while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience 2 of which are management level experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in computers/programs to include Excel, Microsoft and Word

Experience with employee development and performance management processes

Knowledge of contracts and grant preparation and management

Knowledge and experience in budgets and fiscal management principles and procedures

Experience in management principles and practices

Experience supervising staff and students

Knowledge of child maltreatment reporting and confidentiality laws

Knowledge of UNM Policy and Procedures

Knowledge and experience with UNM financial systems including Banner finance

Experience with medical coding and billing
