Job Description
The T. Denny Sanford Harmony Institute (harmonyinstitute.asu.edu) at Arizona State University is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator. We are looking for someone who has the skills and values to facilitate the important research efforts involving children’s relationships in school and the impact these have on their social and academic success.
The Project Coordinator will work closely with the Institute’s research team members, contributing to the effective implementation and execution of the research. The work involves planning, organizing, coordinating, and executing project activities to ensure timely and successful completion of the research project’s goals.
Salary Range
$44,900 - $62,000 per year; DOE

Essential Duties
- Contribute to planning for, implementing, and monitoring of research related to children’s school-based relationships and success
- Facilitate the engagement of schools, teachers, families, and/or children in research
- Prepare research materials in collaboration with other research personnel as needed
- Work with schools, teachers, families, and/or children to collect data
- Assist with data management
- Document timelines, progress, and outcomes of research
- Attend research project meetings
- Other responsibilities might include conducting literature reviews, helping incubate new ideas, and contributing to the presentation and dissemination of research findings
- Contribute to a positive work environment
- Establish good communication with Institute faculty, staff, students, affiliates, and community members
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience; OR, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working on a developmental or educational research project preferred.
- Preference for Master’s degree in any area related to child and family sciences (e.g., Family and Human Development, Psychology).
- Experience with data software such as Excel, ACCESS, or SPSS preferred.
Working Environment
- Activities may be performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse. Activities may also be performed in community settings, involving standing, walking, bending, and transporting project items.
- Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
- Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
