Job Description

Works closely and collaboratively with Translational Science and Affinity Networks Initiative Director and leadership to define project scope, strategy, budget, and outcomes; identifies critical resource expertise and targets appropriate internal and/or external sources to ensure optimal outcome(s), develops and implements strategic projects and initiatives, and works with translational teams and affinity networks to facilitate team effectiveness and successful outcomes.

 

Salary Range

$43,920 - $50,000 per year; DOE

Essential Duties

Initiative-level activities include the development, coordination, and implementation of the following sub-initiatives:

 

ANTT & CCTS Integration:

·        Assist and implement blending of current ANTT initiative with new Community and Clinical Translational Science (CCTS) initiative.

·        This includes identifying overlapping key functions and building/integrating Infrastructure across initiatives as well as working closely with the Sr. Director for Community Engagement

Community Engagement:

·        Assist ANTT Management Lead, in coordination with Sr. Directory for Community Engagement, in the refinement and implementation of community engagement initiative including: working collaboratively with stakeholders, leadership, and other related staff to define and identify and facilitate new community partners, implement supporting infrastructure, and supporting successful launch and of this ongoing endeavor.

Initiative Sustainability:

·        coordinating with other CHS Hubs, faculty, and staff to continue to implement sustainable processes and infrastructure to ensure the sustainability of the ANTT initiative. 

Evaluation:

·        Assists leadership in tracking metrics and deliverables, preparing reports, and ensuring timely dissemination of information to all interested parties

Administrative duties:

·        Works closely with ANTT Leadership & Success Hubs to facilitate team research opportunities, student engagement and community partnerships.

·        Manages documents and some scheduling at the initiative-level.

·        Prepares and maintains initiative and team status reports and schedules; tracks milestones/deliverables, critical paths and dependencies; coordinates with leadership to adjust expectations as needed in consideration of project progress/outcomes. 

 

Translational Team and Affinity Network specific duties include:

·        Facilitates current teams and networks to ensure optimal outcomes; assists in the identification of new and/or already operating teams; builds, develops, and maintains relationships vital to team and initiative success; periodic evaluations of teams and networks as well as identifies needs and develops process improvements to promote team engagement and success. 

·        Responds to inquiries regarding initiative and translational teams' status; prepares and responds to all regulatory reporting/filings to ensure compliance.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience; OR, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

 

Desired Qualifications

·        Evidence of a Master degree with two years' experience in project coordination or management

·        Experience in team facilitation, team building and coordination

·        Evidence of a Lean Six Stigma certification, or similar, as well as experience in work that requires organizational, management, and planning skills

·        Evidence of effective communication and relationship building skills

·        Experience in research implementation and coordination, including study implementation and scientific writing

·        Experience in community outreach, building partnerships

·        Experience in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, Canvas

·        Experience in data management and basic statistical methods

·        Experience in program evaluation and reporting

 

Working Environment

·        Use basic math

·        Deliver presentations

·        Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting

·        Ability to clearly communicate 

·        Use office equipment, i.e. printers, copiers, fax machines, telephones, and calculator

·        Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, may include/subject to resolution conflicts

·        Use critical thinking to make decisions and/or analyze and report data/results of tests conducted
