DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
The Project Manager performs a variety of technical and non-technical managerial tasks associated with overall
administration, accounting, procurement, design, specifications, construction contract administration and
monitoring related activities of assigned projects (may include federally funded projects).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Oversee funded projects and all project requirements during construction design, completion and close-out
phase on behalf of the Gila River Indian Community.Provide all necessary communication, documentation, contracting documents, inspections, records management
and financial accountability of office and field activities of assigned funded projects.Responsible for planning, organizing, controlling and coordinating long and short range goals and objectives
and establishing applicable policies and procedures for effective, efficient and safe implementation of
construction work for funded construction projects.Prepare and administer operating budget for administration, non-administration and construction and prepare
scheduled financial and non-financial project reports to the funding source.Responsible for planning, coordinating and controlling all administrative activities for individual assigned
projects during design phase, technical review of construction award phase, actual construction, disputes,
inspection, requisition procession, project acceptance, warranty phase and close-out processing.Responsible for the procurement and supervision of staff, programs, A/E services and other consultants as
required.Act as Administrator for assigned projects funded by various Federal agencies which may be highly regulated
under contracts with the Tribe and which may require strict adherence to development and management contract
provisions in the general and financial management of such projects.Act as general inspector on construction project compliance to general conditions, material and labor standards
and related contract compliance provisions on all phase of assigned project construction.Supervise assigned staff and ensure appropriate administration, documentation, internal accounting and
management of project financial and non-financial records.Act as technical advisor to Community Manager and Tribal Committees on assigned projects.Perform other administrative and related technical duties as assigned.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:0 Extensive knowledge of building and facility construction planning, design, construction contracting, inspecting
procedures, methods of work processes and standards.

- Thorough knowledge of general and financial management techniques.Knowledge of construction management techniques and practices of building and facility planning,development, operation and maintenance.Skill in identifying and resolving construction planning and construction, budgetary and personnel problems.Computer skills are highly desirable to schedule and coordinate projects.Ability to effectively plan, supervise and coordinate work of others.Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports.Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees, Community Officials and the generalpublic.
0 Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position; agree to maintain a Drug-free workplace.REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or closely
related field and a minimum of three (3) years experience in construction project management work or an
equivalent combination of education and experience and two (2) years supervisory experience.ADDITIONAL RES QUIREMENT:Required to obtain a Tribal Driving permit.Supervisory, Salaried Position
