Job Description:

As a part of University Business Services, the Project Manager, Sr. works in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team and various stakeholders to develop and implement comprehensive solutions to meet the needs of an innovative university. This team member operates proactively, to create rapid response support for COVID activities while ensuring ASU remains fluid on research, business plan updates, testing site support, vaccine distribution etc. The successful candidate will be responsible to monitor, execute, and instill programmatic controls of new initiatives and will provide support and oversight to track strategic plans, goals, KPIs and milestones for individual operating units. This position will assist with communications and coordination of messaging with Business and Finance Communications team including utilizing Basecamp and development of dashboards to track metrics.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and eight (8) years related experience; 3 of which include project management, OR, any equivalent combination of experience, and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Desired Qualifications: Evidence of a PMP Certification Experience with Basecamp or other Project Management framework or tool. Experience with data analysis Evidence in having high level presentation skills including researching, preparation and delivery. Experience in being able to pivot focus as needed when objectives shift.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties: Collaborate proactively and respond to requests from senior leadership and stakeholders. Oversee and/or participate in the development and administration of innovative project design and execution. Identify, implement, and evaluate strategic program objectives, policies, and procedures Work cross-functionally within University Business Services and across the university to deliver programmatic solutions Maintain a system of university contacts and communications Conduct research, compile and analyze results, and prepare reports and recommendations Serve as a representative for internal and external committees and task forces May lead other non-direct report employees or teams to prioritize and assign work; ensure staff is trained; maintain and administer professional development programs, and other special assignments. Working Environment: Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts Communicate to perform essential functions Use standard office equipment such as computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals Receive regular review of performance for achievement of established objectives
