Responsibilities:
- Supervises all day to day casino promotions and events as they relate to pro-forma and implementation.
- Provides all required reports for and on behalf of the Promotions and Events division in a dutiful and timely manner and according to Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel specifications including but not limited to revenue, expenses, labor, business volumes and statistics, regulations, and assets.
- Adheres to all gaming, state, federal and local ordinances as specified.
- Works with Promotions and Events Manager to develop and implement innovative Players Club programs, promotions and property wide entertainment.
- Assists Promotions and Events Manager with the development and implementation of the Promotions and Events annual budget.
- Works with all internal departments to maximize collaboration.
- Responsible for inter-departmental and internal communication/ notification for all promotions and events activities.
- May work shifts that staff members have vacated due to illness, no-show or other such contingencies.
- Participates in selection, training and scheduling of departmental staff, off-site help and temp employees, to include contract labor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Preference is given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members.
- Associates Degree in Business or related field preferred.
- Excellent administrative skills and abilities.
- One-year supervisory experience preferred.
- Sales and/or community experience necessary.
- Must understand statistics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Responsible, detail oriented and able to multi-task.
- General knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint and Access, as well other software programs.
- Knowledge of casino player tracking systems preferred.
- Ability to compose correspondence, manage schedules and projects.
- Must possess good time management, organization and recordkeeping skills.
- Must possess the ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
- Effectively interface and coordinate activities involving employees and/or guests and work effectively and professionally with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to work in a team-oriented atmosphere, work independently and handle projects on an individual and/or group basis.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- A smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems is required. If a smartphone is not provided by the company, a candidate or employee may be provided a smartphone of the companys choice, through a payroll deduction program.
- All employees are required to proficiently use a smartphone for company applications, email, and text.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming Regulatory Commission key gaming license.
