Job Description

Overview The IT Transitions Manager is responsible for overseeing smooth transitions during property acquisitions, divestitures, and construction of new properties. This role ensures operational efficiency, financial integration, and coordination of resources and equipment, particularly for new property developments. The Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, leasing, and maintenance, ensuring that timelines are met, compliance is maintained, and service quality remains high. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT, with expertise in Windows operating systems, networking, and telecom (POTS and VOIP). Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Transition Planning & Coordination Develop and execute detailed transition plans for new properties and acquisitions, ensuring operational, financial, and tenant-related aspects are managed efficiently. Resource & Equpment Coordination for New Construction Manage and cooredinatei the deployment of resources, IT infrastructure, and equipment for newly constructed properties, ensuring seamless integration of systems and services. IT Setup & Management Oversee the installation and configuration of IT systems, including Windows operating systems, networking, and telecom (POTS and VOIP), for new and transitioning properties. Collaboration with Stakeholders Act as the main point of contact between internal teams (IT, finance, Regional Property Managers) and external stakeholders, including vendors, contractors, and property owners to ensure alignment and timely execution. Operational Setup & Handover Supervise the transfer of property management systems and procedures, ensuring new property management teams are fully trained on IT systems and operational processes. Compliance & Legal Ensure all local, state, and federal regulations are met during the transition process, particularly for newly constructed properties. Reporting & Documentation Provide regular updates to senior leadership on transition progress, risks, and milestones with detailed reporting on IT infrastructure and equipment setup. Training & Support Facilitate training for property management staff on new systems and procedures, with a focus on IT and operational readiness. Problem Solving & Issue Resolution Address and resolve challenges or issues that arise during the transition process, particularly with IT systems, resources, and equipment. Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, IT, or equivalent experience in a related field. 5+ years of experience in property management, transition management, or IT project management. Strong background in IT, with expertise in Windows operating systems, networking, and telecom (POTS and VOIP). Experience managing large-scale property transitions, particularly in coordinating IT infrastructure for new construction. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work cross-functionally with different departments and external stakeholders. Leadership and decision-making abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines. Preferred Skills: Project management certification (e.g., PMP) or formal experience in project management. Knowledge of property management software, IT infrastructure, and telecom systems. Experience with financial transitions, budget management, and cost control for new properties. Working Conditions: Primarily office-based, with some travel to properties and construction sites required. Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be necessary during critical transition periods or system installations.
