Job Summary:

The Division of Health Care Management (DHCM) is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Quality Improvement (QI) Coordinator. This position is worked from home with some in office meetings. Under the direction of the Quality Improvement Manager and Lead Coordinator, the position will support the AHCCCS Quality Improvement Team's mission through 1.) the timely and accurate completion, as well as continued monitoring and tracking, of all assigned Contractor deliverables, and 2.) participation and support of ongoing Quality Improvement efforts including (but not limited to) methodology development, project tracking, data analysis, and report writing.

Job Duties:

* Timely and accurate completion, monitoring, and tracking of all assigned Contractor deliverables including but not limited to Performance Measure Monitoring Reports, Quality Management/Performance Improvement (QM/PI) Program Plans, Technology Plans, Performance Improvement Project Reports, and Corrective Action Plan Responses..

* Participation and support of ongoing Quality Improvement efforts including (but not limited to) methodology development, project tracking, data analysis, and report writing.

* Participation in Operational Reviews, Readiness Reviews, audits, and other forms of Contractor monitoring, as necessary.

* Serving as the QI Subject Matter Expert for behavioral health related project activities including but not limited to; performance measure research, review and selection; active participation and lead (as assigned) for care and services auditing and survey efforts.

* Developing data requests and reports that support multiple DHCM clinical teams; assisting with data reviews and provide analytic supports, as needed.

* Active participation and representation of AHCCCS at the stakeholder engagement sessions, conferences, technical assistant meetings, and other presentations, webinars, and meetings.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

* Knowledge of research methods, including methodology development, sampling techniques, methods to identify variation in clinical performance data, statistical analysis and data quality/validation methods.

* Knowledge of and at least three years experience with quality measurement, including Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) Technical specifications, Consumer Assessment of Health Plan Satisfaction (CAHPS) and other National Committee for Quality Assurance measures; measures developed by the American Medical Association Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, The Joint Commission.

* Knowledge of medical and /or behavioral health terminology, procedures and coding (e.g., Current Procedural Terminology and International Classification of Diseases codes).

* Advanced statistical skills, manipulation and analysis of large data sets and technical query development from data systems.

* Strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively relate to multidisciplinary AHCCCS staff, Contractor representatives, and other stakeholders.

* Team player, with ability to collaborate and maintain effective working relationships with people in positions of all levels.

* Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Selective Preference(s):

* At least one year experience working in a Managed Care environment
