Quality Improvement Specialist

Job Description

The Quality Improvement Specialist will be part of a collaborative team which provides continuous support to our staff, helping them fine tune their skills in all areas of service delivery to our members. Your varied roles will include trainer, consultant, facilitator, mentor, and evaluator. You will assist with quality improvement efforts, provide technical assistance, develop and implement training to improve practice fidelity, assist in utilization management, and perform procedures to support clinical operations. You must have a strong knowledge of service delivery modalities for child and/or adult members (Child and Family Team process or adult recovery team process).

Must have knowledge of community based behavioral health services. Must have knowledge of the spectrum of mental illnesses, DSM-5 codes and descriptions, psychotropic medications and crisis intervention. Must be able to maintain excellent member relationships. Must be an energetic, flexible, creative, innovative individual who can monitor strengths-based, family-centered support plans. Must also be able to monitor and facilitate the delivery of community-based integrated services from diverse providers.

REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for this position, you must a bachelors degree in a field related or similar to behavioral health and one year full-time behavioral health work experience; or an associate degree and at least two years full-time behavioral health work experience; or a high school or equivalency diploma and four years full-time behavioral health work experience. Must maintain a current Arizona state fingerprint clearance card. Must be able to use current electronic records management system and type 2540 WPM.
