Oversee all plant quality functions
Interdepartmental Functions - Co-ordination of activities; communication with outside departments
Customer Service - Perform customer plant tours to attain process knowledge for decision-making criteria on a regular basis
Communicate with the customers receiving inspection and supplier quality representatives
Follow up on customer problems
Authorize any return material, rework and scrap at the customer location using set standards.
Growth & Development - To develop and grow as a manager to prepare for higher responsibility in the future.
Department Functions / Operations - Ensure the efficient operation of the department by organizing, supervising and delegating in an efficient manner; Regularly analyze and develop criteria to measure progress and effectiveness of general plant and department operations
Conduct or attend Quality Assurance Department Meetings as required; Monitor and audit processes, systems and housekeeping to ISO/TS 16949 requirements
Document all findings and communicate to designated plant and corporate personnel
Analyze and resolve quality-related problems that arise in the plant and conducts follow-up analysis to avoid re-occurrences
Daily review of communication affecting product quality requirements; Communicate with Quality Engineer, and Quality Inspectors on a regular basis
Department budget performance on a monthly basis.
Systems Development -Responsible for refinements of current system to the ISO/TS 16949 as well as certification as per customer requirement
Prepare monthly reports on plant quality performance; Monitor all advanced quality planning activity on new products
Must have 5 years of experience in position offered OR 5 years exp.
Experience with manpower reductions to optimize efficiency of Quality Department Staff;
Experience in operating a Coordinate Measuring Machine
Experience with Customer contact pertaining to all Quality customer concerns
Management Representative experience with ISO/TS 16949 Quality Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and Lead Auditor training certification.
