Radiation Therapist

Job Summary: The Radiation Therapist safely and accurately delivers a prescribed dose of ionizing radiation to a specific area within the patient according to the physicians prescribed treatment plan

Minimum Education Requirements: Completion of an American Medical Association approved Radiation Therapist training program

Minimum Work Experience: None

Other skills and abilities: Must be certified and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Licensed by the State of Massachusetts

Equipment/Software/Certification: Varian Linear Accelerator, Varian MLC, Varian Portal Imaging and IMPAC Record and Verify System. Must hold current BLS certification through The American Heart Association.
