Job Description
Represents Sonora Hospital at the front desk and over the phone.
- Ensures all patients are greeted in a prompt and professional manner.
- Provides effective screening of telephone calls to the main hospital line by accurately identifying the callers needs, gathering necessary information and responding with an appropriate resource or service.
- Receives calls from contracted/non-contracted hospitals, obtains basic information for completing inquiry call sheet.
- Initiate completion of history/demographic form from patient/guardian.
- Obtains copies of drivers license and insurance card if available for registered patient visitors.
- Provides clerical support to various departments, as needed.
Serves as backup to medical records specialists, copying, filing, sorting documents.
