Pay Range

$70. 00/hr - $77.40/hr

The Regional CNO provides leadership in the daily clinical operations of the network of managed critical access hospitals (Kit Carson Memorial Hospital - Burlington, Co., Goodland Regional Medical Center - Goodland, Ks., and Rawlins County Health Center - Atwood, Ks.), in collaboration with the local CEO's. Responsible and accountable for leading hospital clinical operations by working through directors and other health care team members in providing patient care 24 hours/day and 7 days/week. Exercises accountability for nursing care wherever it is provided in the hospital and clinics. Assumes active leadership role with Community Board, Senior Leadership, Medical Staff and with hospital leaders in individual hospitals in the Regional Managed Network.

In addition, accountable for professional nursing practice, education, and evidence-based practice and research across the regional network in NW Kansas and Eastern Colorado to ensure the highest possible standards of clinical effectiveness, patient and associate satisfaction, and patient or consumer value. Responsible for the process and models of patient care delivery and clinical practice across the region. Responsible for execution of the individual managed hospital strategic nursing plans. In collaboration with the local CMO's, CEO's, DON's / Clinical Services Directors and Centura System VP, plays a key role in developing and implementing operational programs to ensure quality, patient/consumer experience, effective resource management, staff sharing arrangements, and lead change.

Important to this role is understanding the leadership expectations of this position and the entire leadership team throughout the regional network of managed critical access hospitals and Centura Health. Each leader must have a personal and professional connection to the Mission of this Christian organization and the mission of each of the managed critical access hospitals. This position must be a team player themselves and contribute toward a Team centered approach that lends itself to ensuring "team before self" in order to lead this complex, highly matrixed organization into the differentiated leading role as THE network of choice in the regions we serve. This position will invite others into their work in order to be fully transparent with the activities of this position, allowing for celebration of success and learnings through opportunities for change. What You Bring/Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Master's degree in nursing (other disciplines acceptable if they hold a BSN in nursing)
  • Current Colorado or Kansas RN License / Current RN license from a participating state in National Licensure Compact
  • 5 years of experience in nursing or hospital management role in a health system, or multiple locations - to include Critical Access Hospitals.

  • The successful candidate will have experience at both the system level as well as CAH environment.

    8 years of progressive nursing experience.

  • Magnet experience, HRO, or similar approach to evidence-based practices and shared governance, preferred.
