The Regional Manager of Learning and Talent Development is responsible for the implementation and follow-through of all educational programs throughout their region. The Regional Manager, Learning & Talent Development (RMLTD) assists in the training and follow-through of all educational programs throughout his/her designated geographic areas, as directed by the Senior Regional Director of L&TD.

The Regional Managers role will include scheduling and performing instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led training. Coordinating training with the regions Certified Training Associates. Evaluating class effectiveness through follow up evaluations. Coaching associates in soft skills, leasing, training, and other training programs, as needed. Identifies and reports areas of potential risk and compliance related to LPC policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Learning & Training Support

  • Trains and supports regional associates on LPCs expectations for learning and personal responsibility for growth
  • Supports the national Extraordinary Coaching Initiative through ongoing interactions with onsite teams regarding education and support on coaching; uses coaching methods personally with other team members
  • Supports compliance with national training programs and completions as directed
  • Schedules training and follow up; coaches and mentors associates to improve business outcomes and performance targets
  • Effectively delivers instructor-led (ILT) and virtual instructor-led (vILT) classes with an understanding of adult learning techniques, ultimately impacting business outcomes by associates
  • Aids in reporting from the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Reviews and analyzes trainees and class effectiveness for reporting and feedback to the RMLTD for improvement and performance support
  • Ensures course attendance and completions per designated learning paths
  • Supports general training/software training questions

Audit Support

  • Perform Audit Coaching for Excellence (ACE) audits in designated cities or communities to evaluate, train, and report on lease file and policy compliance issues on-site
  • Teaches the advanced Audit This Too instructor-led course
  • Generally assist in the support and training of policies and procedures to achieve improved audit scoring according to national and regional goals

Certified Training Associates Program

  • Provide assistance with oversight and maintenance of the CTA program, including interviewing and certifying maintenance and office CTAs
  • Maintains high engaged of CTAs through relationship building, coaching and mentoring
  • Aids in the planning and execution of the annual CTA Appreciation event

Meetings & Special Events

  • Attends national L&TD meetings and roll out train-the-trainer sessions
  • Regularly attends and contributes/presents at regional meetings
  • May aid in the scheduling, planning, and conducting of meetings & special events for learning, recognition and awards events for the region

Shopping Reports

  • Follows through on the use of the LPC Shopping Report as a training tool for associates, initiating hands-on, personalized follow-up for associates
  • Coaches Business Managers on how to coach their associates on the shopping report for increased sales effectiveness

Additional Responsibilities

  • May contribute to the creation of national learning curriculum, the marketing of learning initiatives, social learning, and/or the evaluation of current learning initiatives, as needed and/or as personal talent dictates
  • Offers feedback and critique of current learning initiatives
  • Assists in due diligence and transitions as needed
  • Assists in the associate mentor program
  • Maintains updated training materials (i.e. class manuals, class giveaways, required paperwork)
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in education, training or a closely allied field preferred; related experience may be substituted year-for-year for academic achievement
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • At least two years multi-family experience
  • Proficient in a variety of Property Management software
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to research, analyze information and form recommendations
  • Ability to effectively work independently and within a strong team dynamic
  • Well organized with an ability to handle multiple, ongoing projects according to priority
  • Ability to travel on an as-needed basis
  • Computer literate and able to assist in software presentations, training, and support
  • Experience with instructional design a plus
