Position Summary:

Support and drive branch operations best practices across all locations. Lead operational excellence through branch operations managers. The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for executing operational strategies in accordance with the plan developed by the VP, Retail Banking. This position provides the leadership and management to ensure that TBK Bank branches are operating in a manner to support organizational growth, operating efficiency and customer service excellence.

Position Description:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

Leads and directs all aspects of retail banking operational activities. Responsibilities include:

  • Attends quarterly regional meetings to ensure awareness of organizational priorities, advises peers on trends within assigned region or business area, and collaborates with peers to support strategic goals.

  • Provides expertise in the development and documentation of functional processes and procedures.

  • Conducts recurring coaching sessions with direct reports.

  • Serves as escalation point for customer issues and concerns.

  • Provides oversight on monthly operational activities and required checklists.

  • Reviews audit results and performance reports. Conducts root cause analysis for areas requiring improvement and develops and implements solutions.

  • Assists with the development and attainment of internal performance objectives.

  • Merger, acquisition and conversion support activities.

  • Collaborates with peers to execute action plans in support of strategic goals.

  • Establish vault limits and manage cash services.

  • Properly allocates resources necessary to support the local branches.

  • Understands branch P&Ls and drives to operate efficiently.

  • Works with the Training Department to coordinate the onboarding of new hires.

  • Partners with Human Resources in regards to recruiting, hiring, promotions, disciplinary actions, and salary approvals.

  • Identifies and shares best practices to increase the overall effectiveness of the region.

  • Orients employees to Bank policies and procedures, clearly communicating work duties and responsibilities.

  • Evaluates staffs work performance and provides feedback through consistent and ongoing coaching and communication; conducts effective performance appraisals and takes corrective action whenever necessary.

  • BCP and vendor management for respective region or function.

  • Performs duties in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and related anti-money laundering laws, and in accordance with the Banks Information Security Program.

  • Actively participates in local community efforts.

  • Maintains a positive and caring atmosphere for customers and employees consistent with TBK Banks mission and philosophy.

  • Continues professional development through training, seminars, certifications, and membership in professional associations, as applicable.

Qualifications:
  • 5 + years in a supervisory and/or managerial role required

  • 5 + years in a retail banking environment required; operations background preferred

  • Bachelors degree in a business-related major preferred and/or management experience preferably in financial services

Skills and Abilities Required
  • Must possess utmost professional qualities, high energy, results driven, and self-motivation

  • Evidence of leadership abilities, a strong work ethic, detail orientation, and organizational skills

  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Excellent communication skills required, both written and verbal

  • Must be able to travel 25-50% to branch locations within assigned geographic region and to future acquisition locations.

Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00
